In the hard-to-reach communities of Cameroon’s West Region, thousands of children and adolescents face an impossible choice: help their families survive today, or invest in an education that promises a better tomorrow. For orphans, vulnerable children, and youth from marginalized families, school fees, uniforms, and basic supplies remain out of reach turning education from a fundamental right into an unattainable dream. We’re changing that reality, one student at a time.
Wanlah Foundation provides the essential support that breaks down barriers to education: scholarships that cover school fees, books that open new worlds, computers that unlock digital literacy, and uniforms that restore dignity. But we go further. Through comprehensive vocational training programs, we equip adolescents and young people with marketable skills that directly combat unemployment and create pathways out of poverty.

Meet Wirsiy Malvis the coordinator driving education and empowerment
With deep expertise in gender-responsive education and community-led training programs, Wirsiy leads our mission to ensure that both girls and boys, young women and men, have equal access to transformative learning opportunities.
His work focuses on identifying training opportunities, promoting gender equality in natural resource management and community development, and creating comprehensive support systems that address the unique educational challenges faced by marginalized youth in rural Cameroon.
Under his leadership, Wanlah Foundation's education programs have expanded beyond traditional academic support to include group dynamics training, participatory learning methods, and initiatives that empower women and youth to become agents of change in their own communities.
