Aid for the Underprivileged

Our Goal: To ensure that the most vulnerable members of our community—especially orphans, street children, and people with disabilities—have their fundamental needs met and are treated with dignity.

For too many, the basics of life are out of reach.

In the margins of our communities, there are children and adults who face a daily struggle for survival. Orphans and street children are left without the safety of a home or the promise of an education. People with disabilities are often excluded from society and denied the opportunity to support themselves. Without the stability of food, shelter, and clothing, it is impossible to plan for a future. This is a crisis of dignity that we cannot ignore.

"Here, I am not just safe; I feel like I have a family again."

John, Supported Youth

More than a roof: building a community of hope

When we first met John and his younger sister, they were two of the many street children, surviving day to day. Having lost their parents, they had nowhere else to go. Their daily focus was on finding food, not on schoolwork; on finding a safe place to sleep, not on dreaming about the future. This is the harsh reality for countless orphans and vulnerable children.

Through our Aid for the Underprivileged Program, the Wanlah Foundation was able to offer them a path forward. We provided them with a place in a partner shelter, where they received not just food, shoes, and clothing, but a supportive community. Most importantly, we enrolled them in the local school, ensuring they received the education that is every child’s right.

Today, John is a bright student who loves mathematics, and his sister is safe and thriving. By providing for their basic needs, we gave them back something invaluable: their childhood. Our support is more than just providing shelter; it’s about restoring dignity and rebuilding lives.
